“Justin grew up in Ventura County before attending UCLA to earn his bachelor’s degree in psychobiology. At UCLA, he took on leadership roles in the Vietnamese Student Union and Student-Initiated Outreach Committee, and oversaw programs that promoted recruitment and retention of students of color in higher education.
Upon enrolling at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Justin applied his community organizing background towards health equity. As President of CaHPSA at Touro, he facilitated discussions and advocacy events with other health professional students to address health care issues at the local, state, and national levels. In his new role as the Northern California CaHPSA Representative, Justin looks forward to supporting CaHPSA students in fostering a culture of civic engagement and single payer advocacy at their schools.”
