Born in 1945, Paula began to dedicate her life to racial and economic justice in high school where she met her husband, Barry. They both participated in the Civil Rights, anti-Vietnam war and other movements. Paula worked for many years with Barry in his practice of civil rights law.
In 1992 Paula began volunteering at the Liberty Hill Foundation and used her expertise in office management to help Liberty Hill build its infrastructure. She also organized its donor advised program and has continued to be involved in major gifts fundraising and philanthropic programs. Paula also volunteers her time to work with community organizations to develop their fundraising and organizational capacity.
