Marianne Brown, MPH

  • July 13, 2017 /

Marianne Parker Brown has been on the faculty of the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health from 1984-2004 and 2015-2017.  Since “retiring” she has worked in the LAUSD at the elementary, middle and high school levels connecting school gardens/healthy food to standards-based academic subjects. Having grown up in rural, low income Siskiyou County she has always been aware of the need for, and a strong proponent of, low cost/free quality health care. She moved to LA in 1979 with her late husband Rick Brown and two daughters and is now returning to her “roots” in Berkeley/Oakland.
