Cindy De La Cruz received her Master’s in Public Health from CSU Long Beach with an emphasis in Community Health Education. Being the first in her family to graduate from college, the educational system has shaped her strong views in advocating for social justice issues such as promoting quality, affordable health care. In tune with these values, Cindy has maintained an active role in research and curriculum development, program management, grant writing, and community organizing.
Research carved her path in advocacy, health policy education, and leadership building with the California Health Professional Student Alliance (CaHPSA) as the Statewide Coordinator and Education and Outreach Coordinator for Physicians for a National Health Program – California chapter (PNHP-CA) as the physician members California organizer and representative for the South Los Angeles Human Rights Coalition. She currently serves as an Organizer for the Committee of Interns & Residents/SEIU Healthcare.
